Products and Services

Gananoque’s first Fire Station was located at Market Square which is now where the clock tower on Stone Street South is located. At this time there was a steam powered pump, long wooden ladder and a long trailer which were all drawn by their own team of horses. In 1965 the Town of Gananoque purchased the Armoire on South Street and moved the Fire and Police Service there. Both services remained at this location until 2004 where under the direction of Fire Chief Gerald Bennett and Police Chief Bob Parish moved into a brand new building on upper Herbert Street. The Fire and Police Services both remain at the Herbert Street location today.
