Country Roads Community Health Centre has served the health needs of Rideau Lakes Township, Westport and surrounding areas. For many people, Country Roads is simply the friendly place where people come to see a nurse, nurse practitioner or doctor either to make sure everything is working as it should or to treat a problem. But much of the work done by Country Roads staff is not about treating illness. Our role is to work with the community to figure out how to eliminate barriers to good health. The"specialty" of a CHC is to know who the most "vulnerable" people in our communities are and help them to access the resources that they need in order to remain healthy or become healthy.
